Here at Pentre Mawr we are determined to give all our couples absolute free choice of who they use to help make their day perfect. We have vast experience of hosting weddings and know that the wrong band or the wrong photographer can really spoil your day. So we’ve gathered together a few recommendations of lovely people who will go out of their way, as we do, to make your day as perfect as possible. Whoever you choose please run them past us before you book them………..we’ve had one or two interesting suppliers who seem to forget that the wedding couple are the most important people on the day.
We have caterers that we highly recommend.
The first caterers we recommend are Anna and Marc Macaulay from Abergele. MM Catering. Marc turns out the most exquisite food from his immaculate kitchen on wheels. He can cope with anything from a formal sit down to a BBQ or hog roast. He’s got a great calming effect and is a lovely chap. Their web site is MM Catering or just give them a ring on 07812 892833. The work with a brilliant bar company called Foelas Arms Mobile Bar. Run by husband and wife team Lucille and Warren 07900004464. Both are so obliging and with smiley faces will help you out. Their bar prices are excellent as well. More like the local pub so your friends won’t be horrified when they go to the bar. Ask them about their drinks packages too.
Dinner by Design from Wrexham their events manager Keiran is on hand to guide through all your needs for your wedding day. Just give him a ring on 07585 509 240 or email him on email@example.com Mark is an accomplished chef, turning out lovely food and they will also look after the bar taking the pressure off finding a separate bar. Ask them about their drinks packages too.

For years we’ve used Jeremy Platt as our wine merchant…………….recently with his business partner Sion and the help of Bev in the office he started a new business called Ffarm Vintners. I confess they’ve all been friends of our for years though we started off as just business acquaintances. Over the years of excellent service, they have stepped into the breach even on bank holidays when I’ve forgotten to order enough and have been really helpful and knowledgeable when we’ve needed them. You don’t have to use them but if you do, they’ll be great. Contact details. Phone Bev on 01492 680074

Mike Mainstone has been our photographer of choice since one of our brides recommended him for our wedding. His son Steve and wife Jenny work with him to get those ever so important photos taken and then to get out of your hair so as not to spoil your day. Jenny is wonderful at putting everyone at ease while the guys do their thing. She’s got a great eye for detail………….she’ll move the glass….straighten the veil and pin the button hole. Perfect pictures eveytime. Mike is simply brilliant with people getting that smile when no one else can and getting great shots of little folk………….it’s lovely to see Steve taking up his mantle. Steve also takes and edits wonderful video. Our only regret for our wedding is that we didn’t have one…….but it was soooo long ago……….I’m not sure they’d invented video.
