How To Book Your Cheetah Break
Now we know we’ve got you wondering, what is a Cheetah Break?
So Meet Mara…
For years Bre and Graham have been travelling in Africa. They’ve spent a lot of time out in the bush and seen loads of wild animals, but they never expected to be followed home by a little cheetah called Mara.
Mara’s been living at Pentre Mawr for many years now and this year Bre asked her if she’d like to return to Africa for a little holiday. She was delighted and has spent time in Hermanus where she’s seen the Southern Right Whales and rock dassies. During their trip they went on trip to Buffelsdrift game lodge where Mara went missing overnight.
Bre was very worried about her but she returned with a mischievous look on her face. Bre asked where she’s been but she just smiled and said nothing at all.
Lorna, Pentre’s manager, was looking after Pentre Mawr while Bre and Graham were away. She was awoken one night by crying outside her window. She was amazed to find three little cheetahs in the garden, looking very cold and tired. They told her they’d met Mara at Buffelsdrift and that she told them what a wonderful life she has at Pentre so they decided to come too.
Over the next few weeks more and more cheetah cubs arrived at Pentre. The jungle drums had been at work. Now Bre and Graham have a serious problem, they’ve so many cheetahs at Pentre that they can’t look after all of them so they’re asking anyone booking a two night break to adopt one.
As an incentive to look after these little cheetahs, they’ve decided to run a competition and the couple that take their cheetah on the most exciting adventure will win a years membership to their local zoo. These little people have drag themselves across Africa and Europe and now need a loving home.
Adopt your very own Cheetah on our special 'Cheetah Break' offer.
So many of our best ideas come from our South African travels. On our last visit we did a long road trip and many of the guesthouses and hotels we stayed at offered a light self-catering package.
That meant that we had some facilities to self cater for breakfast and to accommodate heating takeaways etc. We thought it was a great idea as it meant that we weren’t restricted to meal times and had more freedom to come and go as we pleased.
We’ve decided that we’d like to offer this to our guests as well and of course as we’re not offering servicing and there are no meals included in the price we can reduce our rates considerably.
So for two nights for two people in either a suite with a hot tub or a safari lodge also with hot tub the rate is £360 with a breakfast hamper of croissants, cereals, juice, fruit, bread, butter and preserves. Extra nights can be added for £100 per night.
The offer is only available with new direct bookings and is available all week from Sunday to Thursday nights excluding Bank holidays.
